This is why Teleroute has always been committed to implementing appropriate security measures in all of our products and services. It is our intention to safeguard transport professionals in their daily work by offering a secure online environment with a certified network of companies in which to do business.
In response to customer demand for an easy to use solution that helps protect transport professionals against the risk of non payment for completed work, and as part of our long-term commitment to further improve the safety of our products and services, we have designed this new product - Payment Insurance. We have created this product in collaboration with TCRe, a leading insurance company specialising in the cover of inter-company credit risk.
Payment Insurance is fast, simple and inexpensive, and is available in almost every country in the European Union*. Payment Insurance puts your mind at ease when dealing with new companies and means that you don’t have to try to find out about their payment history before agreeing to do business with them.
Teleroute Payment Insurance is fully integrated in the Teleroute Freight Exchange.
Only Teleroute Freight Exchange customers can use Payment Insurance.
Using Payment Insurance couldn’t be easier
Once you have accepted a freight exchange offer:
Click on the Payment Insurance icon in the freight offer and complete the “Request insurance” form with the transaction information, estimated date of invoicing and terms of payment;
The system tells you immediately if your request has been accepted;
Your insurance dashboard gives you a clear overview of all your active insurances.
Guaranteed payment at a limited cost
The insurance premium is only 1.8% of the price you charge for transporting the freight or a minimum of £6.25, whichever is greater (excl. VAT). Payment Insurance is a smart product that guarantees you will receive payment for completed transport jobs contracted via the Teleroute Freight Exchange.
In the event that you need to make a claim, the insurance company pays your 75% of the total amount due. There is a £28 handling charge per claim.
